If you missed last Saturday’s festival at the PEAS Farm, or even if you didn’t, you might want to bring the family down to McCormick Park on this upcoming Saturday for the 11th annual Fall Family Fest and Kaboom! Play Day.

Like last year, the Missoula Parks and Recreation-organized event promises a packed three hours of live music courtesy of Tom Catmull, kid-friendly activities, hay rides,  Halloween crafts, s’more-making, face-painting and more. It kicks off at 1 p.m. – just after the last farmer’s markets of the season close – and winds up at 4 p.m.

Did I mention that there will be prizes? And cider pressing? And sack races? And more?

And it is all technically free, although a suggested donation of $1 per person is appreciated.

According to Missoula Parks and Rec: “The festival is sponsored by Missoula Parks and Recreation and Currents Aquatics Center, Triple W Equipment, Caras Nursery, Just Poppin’ Kettle Corn, Bank of America, Tom Catmull, Kaboom.org and many other generous local businesses and organizations.”
